The number #67 car of Ryan Schimsk starting in eight after qaulifying on slicks in the rain and make a quick dash to third place on the first lap.   Two minor on track collisions with the #90 car  of Kieth Verges changed up the field positions three different times.  After those mishaps, Ryan Drove the wheels off the car to start moving back through the pack to a third place finish.

Ben Keating’s #33 car started out front for the race .  By the second lap Ben was trailing the pack from the back.   From there he made a hard charge back to the front of the pack  in 2nd  only to run into  mechanical problems that put him at the back of the pack yet agian. Struggling to keep the car going for him seemed to be tons of work and unfortunately kept him off the podium for Sunday’s race.

Aj Morgan ran an awesome race to finish 2nd after missing qualifying and starting from the very back of the field.  Richie Hearn guest driving in the Dodge Motorsports campaigned car ran away with the lead after ben keating dropped to the back after the first Lap.

Rain Sunday Morning put a damper on a qualifying efforts for a few teams which should make for a interesting Sunday Race.

Whitehead Motorsports Car #67 starting from the back yet agian.  Stay tuned for the Charge to the front!

Whitehead Motorsports Takes 1st place at Race number #3 @ Hallet Motor Circuit.  While the rest of the field seemed to have problems battling the brutal Oklahoma heat, the #67 car lead the pack the entire time out in the fresh air.     Half way through the race It seemed as majority of the field starting backing way off in attempt to save the cars and let the heat subside.    Unfortunatly the strategy didnt cut it as the #33 car of Ben Keating experienced major overheating issues and had to drop out of the race from 2nd place.

Richie Hearn made a valiant effort and made his way to second for the finish.  Another top contendor Keith Verges also experienced Heat related issues with the charging system and was unable to finish race.   Third place went to Michael Von Quilich after qualifying 7th.

The #67 car of Ryan Schimsk put down the fastest lap of the day during Qualifying early Saturday. Shortly after the car Failed Tech inspection due to a faulty fastener design. On of the bolts holding on a piece of body work was stripped and protruding too low. The mishap went down as a ride height infraction when all was said and done.

A quick trip back to the paddock and the car was raised an 1/2 half inch just toensure this doesnt happen agian. The setback costs us the Pole Position and we started the race from the back of the pack. Ryan made quick work of the traffic and made his way to 3rd place by the finish of the race after 17 short laps. Ben Keating finished the race in first with Jeff Courtney in a close Second.

This Update we bring you a sneak peak of the new Color Scheme for the 2010 Season.   The Car spend the last few days being vinyl wrapped while we installed the cool suit, radio systems, video systems, and a few alignments adjustments.

We Will be in Virginia on Thursday/Friday so be sure to check back over the weekend as we update from the TRACK!

Friday is Practice, Saturday is another round of practice and qualifying.  Saturday evening will be host to one race and sunday should fall on the same schedule.

Fastest lap of the day was 1:43.9

Be sure to come check it out on the track if your local or check back for more updates over the weekend as we update with some in car footage and notes from the track.  Slicks have been mounted up for the first time! We hope to really get to beat on the car this weekend and see how the lap times compare….
